Creating an event to spotlight Washington High School Football, has been achieved through the Emerald City Kickoff Classic and the WIAA staff is committed to continuing this great showcase of Washington athletes.  School Sports Magazine included the Emerald City Kickoff Classic in their “Rivalry Tour” and the WIAA hopes to continue the sponsorship agreement with School Sports Magazine and Old Spice. 

Due to the success of the Emerald City Kickoff Classic over the last three years, many other states and organizers have decided to organize their own football showcases.  The success of the event is a testament to the dedication of the participating WIAA leagues and member schools.  Continued success will rely heavily on future cooperation of WIAA leagues and districts in making teams available to participate in future Emerald City Kickoff Classic.
